Welcome to Friends of Residents in Long Term Care

Friends of Residents in Long Term Care is a nonprofit charitable organization committed to advancing the quality of life for individuals who receive long-term care services and supports.  We advocate for changes in public policy, support families and help build public awareness in North Carolina about issues impacting the long-term care services system.

Our Mission: to advance the quality of life for individuals who receive long-term care services and supports in both residential and community settings throughout North Carolina.

We Achieve This Mission By:

1. Influencing public policy through an annual legislative agenda, monitoring study commissions and legislative committees, communicating with key legislative contacts, acting in coalition with other aging interests, and representing Friends’ policy interests with executive agencies.
2. Being an independent resource for consumers and families and providing information and assistance to those seeking help with an unresolved long-term care issue; and
