What Do We Do?
Friends of Residents in Long-Term Care (FORLTC) is an independent, nonprofit organization (501c3), committed to advancing the quality of life for the 100,000 individuals who receive long-term care in North Carolina. We focus on the entire continuum of long-term care including nursing homes, adult care homes (assisted living), continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), and home health care.
Mission - Why Do We Exist?
We represent the voice of resents and families in the public policy discourse. Our vision is to empower residents and families and to improve the quality of long-term care in North Carolina by providing a statewide network of education, advocacy, and support.

Why Support Friends of Residents in Long-Term Care?
We represent over 100,000 people in North Carolina who, because they can no longer live independently, receive long-term care services. These residents and their family members need our voice, our commitment, and our strength to continue advocating for a better quality of life.
Your tax-deductible contribution to FORLTC allows us to advocate for and support the vulnerable elders and people with disabilities who receive long-term care in our state. Your support enables us to develop new trainings, provide enhanced outreach programs, have a stronger voice in the legislature, mentor students interested in the field of long-term care, and promote positive change for residents in nursing homes, adult care homes, independent living centers, and continuing care retirement communities.
